About — Algiers, 2026

The OS of Algerian commerce.

We're building the rails that let 45 million Algerians transact, create, save, and trust each other — without waiting for a bank partnership or a foreign super-app to arrive.

Mission

Move commerce from messaging apps into a real platform.

Today most Algerian commerce happens in WhatsApp threads, Facebook messages, and cash deals at street corners. It works — but with no buyer protection, no payment record, no recourse, and no formal path for sellers to grow.

We move that activity onto a structured rail: tri-lingual marketplace, escrow, dispute resolution, voucher-based on-ramp through the 50,000 mobile-top-up shops that already serve every neighbourhood. Every transaction becomes safer, every seller gets a formalisation path, every wilaya gets the same infrastructure Algiers gets.

Why now

The infrastructure is finally here. So is the regulation. So is the behaviour.

  • Loi 22-23 opened the auto-entrepreneur regime — millions of informal merchants now have a legal home.
  • Loi 18-07 gives us a framework for personal-data protection and digital identity.
  • Chargily (CIB / EDAHABIA) became reliable in 2024.
  • WhatsApp Business is universal — every Algerian merchant is already on it.
  • Yassir proved that 5 million Algerians will use a digital wallet if it's well-built.
  • Bluetooth thermal printers at 5,000 DZD turn every shop into a point of sale.

Each of these was missing five years ago. Together they're the foundation for a uniquely Algerian commerce stack.

What we believe

Five principles.

01

Algerians first.

Our default language is Algerian. We localise to Algiers, Oran, Constantine and Tlemcen, not to Paris or Cairo. The dialect choices, the wilaya picker, the prayer-time-aware notifications — all of it is built for here.

02

Formalisation is opt-in and rewarded.

We let informal sellers transact under reasonable caps. When they hit them, we offer a one-tap path to auto-entrepreneur status with the paperwork pre-filled. We don't punish; we invite.

03

Distribution lives at retail.

The 50,000 flexy shops are our partners, not our competitors. We make them more valuable to their customers by letting them sell vouchers, accept payments, and earn commission across more SKUs.

04

Cash is a feature, not a bug.

Most Algerians transact in cash. We never force them online. The voucher rail meets them where they are; the wallet becomes useful gradually, not as a precondition.

05

Audit everything.

Every privileged action — admin, money move, content moderation, KYC decision — is logged with actor, target, before/after, IP and geo. The audit trail is what makes the platform trustworthy to banks, regulators, and partners.

Team

Built in Algiers.

We're Algerian engineers, designers, and operators. We've grown up buying flexy at the corner shop and selling on Ouedkniss. We've shipped four production apps and a 414-function backend before we raised a single dinar. Our advisors include former payments and telecom executives who know the local rails inside out.

Full team bios coming when we're ready to ship them.

Partners

Open to talking.

We're actively talking to Algerian banks, telcos, payment processors, regulators, and international partnership teams. If you're at one of these and the work above resonates, the right next step is a 60-minute working session — not a fundraising pitch.
