The compilation of wilayas, dairas, communes, their bilingual names, postal codes and administrative codes is MIT. The 69 wilaya boundary polygons and 251 OpenStreetMap-derived commune centre coordinates are ODbL 1.0, © OpenStreetMap contributors. The mirrored postal data under data/poste: Data © Algérie Poste; redistributed for reference. In detail, the data is compiled from public official sources. The compilation of wilayas, dairas, communes, their bilingual names, postal codes and administrative codes is offered under the MIT License above, https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT. Three parts are not: The two OpenStreetMap-derived parts are made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, (c) OpenStreetMap contributors: https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/ - The 69 wilaya boundary polygons in `data/geojson/wilaya-boundaries.geojson`, derived from OpenStreetMap `admin_level=4` relations. - 251 commune centre coordinates (`latitude` and `longitude`), each taken from that commune's own OpenStreetMap `admin_level=8` relation: 245 from its `admin_centre` node, 56 corrected on 2026-09-27 and 189 on 2026-09-29, and 6 from the relation centroid, corrected in version 2.1.0. Those coordinates are repeated in `data/algeria.json`, `data/communes_w*.json`, `data/csv/communes.csv`, `data/geojson/communes.geojson` and `data/sql/full.sql`, so the ODbL covers those values in every representation that carries them. If you use or redistribute either part you must attribute OpenStreetMap contributors and keep derived databases under a compatible licence. The third part carries Algérie Poste's own terms, not the MIT License: - The mirrored postal data under `data/poste/` (post offices and ATMs, generated from `@geoalgeria/poste`, which states the same terms): Data © Algérie Poste; redistributed for reference. Redistributed for reference and to power GeoAlgeria (https://geoalgeria.com). Per-part attribution, and where the affected rows are listed row by row: NOTICE.
