Data deletion

You can delete your Dziri account at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, what we keep and why, and when each step happens. It also covers the data we received from Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms you connected.

If you want a copy of your data first, use Request my data in the Account section of your profile before you delete your account.

This is the fastest way. Sign in to Dziri and follow these steps:

1. Open Dziri on the web at dziri.app, or in the Dziri mobile app.
2. Go to your Profile and scroll to the Account section.
3. Tap Delete my account, then type DELETE to confirm.
4. Deletion starts the moment you confirm, and you are signed out. It cannot be cancelled or undone.

To stop using one connected platform (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and others) without deleting your Dziri account, go to Profile → Connected accounts. Disconnecting a platform deletes the access tokens we held for it, so we stop receiving data from it. Removing it also deletes the profile details we copied from it, such as its name, picture and follower count; the remaining link details are cleared 14 days later. Your Dziri account stays open.

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email privacy@dziri.app from the email address linked to your Dziri account, with the subject line “Data deletion request”. Please include:

• the email address on your Dziri account
• your Dziri username, if you know it
• what you want deleted, for example “everything”, “only Facebook data” or “only Instagram data”

We aim to reply promptly. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we delete anything.

If you connected through Facebook Login and only want Meta to stop sending us data, without deleting your Dziri account, you can revoke access from Meta directly:

1. Open Facebook’s Business Integrations settings.
2. Find Dziri in the list.
3. Click Remove.

This stops Meta from sharing any new data with us and invalidates the access token we hold. The data we already received stays linked to your Dziri account until you remove the connection in Profile → Connected accounts or delete your account with option 1 or 2.

When you delete your account, we delete:

• your Dziri profile: name, username, email address, photo and the preferences saved on it
• your connected accounts and their access tokens. Where the platform allows it (Google for YouTube, Meta for Facebook and Instagram, and X), we also ask it to cancel our access
• content synced from your connected accounts, such as your own posts, videos, photos and subscription lists
• your feed activity and personalisation: views, likes, comments on videos, shares, saves, reposts, channels you follow, watch progress, interests and feed settings
• sounds you uploaded or saved, and playlists and channels you added
• notification tokens, so we stop sending you notifications
• rewards activity: streaks, daily and weekly claims, referral codes and referral records
• your activity on nearby offers: saved offers, redemptions and check-ins
• reports you sent us about content
• copies of your data prepared with Request my data

The automatic deletion does not cover everything. Posts and other comments you published, messages you sent, listings you created and the sign-in record of your account are not removed by it. To have them removed, email privacy@dziri.app from the address on your account.

We keep a small amount of data after deletion, for legal and security reasons:

• Financial records of your wallet and its transactions, including reward payouts, top-ups and withdrawals, kept for the period required by Algerian accounting and tax law (typically 5–10 years).
• Fraud and abuse signals, kept so that a deleted account cannot simply be registered again to get around a ban, and for no longer than that purpose requires.
• Identity-verification documents you submitted for withdrawals, kept only as long as anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering obligations require, then deleted.
• Aggregate statistics (for example “number of users in Algeria”) that no longer identify you.

Access tokens and content we received from connected platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and others) are not kept after deletion. We keep the records above only for the reasons given, as Loi 18-07 allows.

• The moment you confirm: deletion starts and you are signed out on the device you used. It cannot be cancelled.
• Straight after, in the background: we ask connected platforms to cancel our access where they allow it, then delete the data listed above from our live systems.
• Backups: any copies held in backups are removed as those backups expire.
